Tucked in a small valley in the South Hams, Baddaford Farm is the home of Geetie and Guy Singh-Watson, Baddaford Farm Partnership and now the Baddaford Farm Collective.

The Farm

Many of us would like to support small scale, sustainable and ethically uncompromising farming. But the reality is hard.

At Baddaford we made the decision to experiment - hoping to practically demonstrate - that by sharing land, buildings, machinery, knowledge and labour our food system can support both small and larger enterprise.

We believe that through cooperation, collaboration and the sharing of resources we can deliver economies of scale to small businesses. The ability to access large machinery and quality infrastructure, resources unaffordable to most small land based businesses, enables those working at the human scale to earn reasonable incomes whilst working the land in ways that are sympathetic to the complexities of our intricate landscapes.

Baddaford Farm consists of 154 acres of a rolling Devon valley. Around 80 acres of the farm is managed by Guy, Milan and the team under Baddaford Farm Partnership, which specialises in growing organic perennial fruit and vegetable crops. These crops are almost entirely supplied to Riverford Organic Farmers and The Bull Organic Inn.

Baddford Farm Collective is a cohort of small-scale land based ethical enterprises. Our Collective Principles can be read here.

All the produce grown on the land is certified as organic.
